Apply Ferrous & Non Ferrous Metal Scrap Import License in Uttar Pradesh

Overview

As a trader any one can apply for Import of Ferrous & Non Feroous Metal Scrap Import in Uttar Pradesh. Ferros Mteal Scraps are Steel Scrap, Iron Scrap. Non Ferrous Metal scraps are Aluminum Scrap, Copper Scrap, Brass Scrap, Lead Scrap, Zinc Scrap, Nickle Scrap etc. 

Keeping this in mind, our Ministry of Environment Forest has opened the window for ferrous and non-ferrous metal scraps in Uttar Pradesh under Schedule 3 Part D. This means that if anyone wants to import any type of ferrous or non-ferrous metal scrap into Uttar Pradesh, such as aluminum scrap, iron scrap, copper scrap, zinc scrap, brass scrap, or nickel scrap, they must obtain approval from the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB)/ Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB)  under the Ministry of Environment and Forests Climate Change (MOEFCC).

 

Documents Required

This Licesne can be apply from a trader or it can be apply fron an actual user also , means a recycler also can apply for this license to import ferrous and non ferrous metal scrap in India. Before applying for this license with the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB), the importer must have certain documents.

Form 7 ( Application Form for One Time Authorization ) 

Recycler Agreement 

 

Form 7 is the Application form which is a One Time Authorization of Traders for Part-D of Schedule -III 

The term "recycle agreement" here means that if a trader import any ferrous or non-ferrous metal scrap, such as aluminum scrap, copper scrap, iron scrap, or steel scrap, in Uttar Pradesh, the trader must have a recycler  agreement which shows that a trader is importing the ferros and non ferrous metal scrap in Uttar Pradesh on the behalf of that Recycler. 

Recyclers who recycle aluminum scrap, iron scrap, copper scrap, magnesium scrap, or any other ferrous & nonferrous metal scrap can apply for this license directly from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board. A recycling agreement is not required in this case. The Pollution Control Board's recycling license of that recycler is sufficient.

 

Process

All the required documents , as mentioned above , along with the draft required to submit in offline mode in Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board , Lucknow. 

There will be a govt fee of an amount Rs 25,000/- which will pe paid in the form of Demad Draft to UPPCB. 

After the verification of the documents and after the inspections , if required Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board ( UPPCB) will issue the One time Authorization license for Import of Ferrous on Non Ferrous Metal scraps in Uttar Pradesh.
