Scrap Tyre can be import in India , But an actual user means a Tyre Recycler can take the permission for that. Means a trader can not import scap tyre in India. Tyre scap from another countries can be import in low price and can be used in tyre retreading and for making tyre crumbs also called as Crumb rubber.
These are several Environmental Compliance permission which have to take. Firstly an individual who want to involve in this business , have to setu a tyre crumbs plant in India in ans Industiral Area. For that he have to take permission from State Pollution Control Board. On the baisis of the machinery capacity the Metric Ton (MT) quantity will be define for tyre recycling.
After completion of compliance from State Pollution Control Board then futher can process for taking the permission from Central Pollution Contrrol Board for EPR License.
EPR license he will get first as a recycler from CPCB/SPCB and after that have to take EPR license as an importer for import of used or refurbished tyre.
For import of Scrap tyre in India , have to take permission from CPCB and MOEFCC . Please find the list of documents required to process the application.
